MetaRed is an international association public and private higher education institutions, which is also open to other public administration entities that carry out relevant activities in the field of ICT, and particularly its application in higher education. It aims to be a “meeting point” for debate, reflection, and collaborative work on the use of ICTs in higher education, with full respect for the principle of autonomy of institutions, respecting their individual freedom to make their own decisions, proposing recommendations, and promoting the sharing of experiences and good practices.
The International Academic Network – ACINNET is a private, educational, non-profit association made up of Higher Education Institutions from South America and Europe, with the aim of facilitating and promoting cooperation at an international level. Its main objective is to coordinate and carry out activities involving educational programs and international events in the educational field.
The International Academic Network of Lusophony (RIAL)
RIAL, founded in 2023, is an intercontinental network currently composed of forty-two higher education institutions from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Portugal, Mozambique and São Tomé y Príncipe, representing a universe of more than two million higher education students and several dozen thousand researchers.
Based in the Complexo Andaluz of the Santarém Polytechnic University, its main objectives are to promote the internationalization of its affiliated higher education institutions by carrying out academic, scientific and cultural activities in the fields of education, research and extension; to carry out international cooperation actions through partnerships to be established with international bodies, government institutions, other education or higher education networks and associations and any other entities that can contribute to or foster the internationalizations of RIAL member institutions; to organize or support the organization of international cooperation activities in the field of education or higher education management; to organize an annual congress and other colloquia or seminars or symposia, which may be held in any country where one of its members is based.
In the course of 2024, RIAL will present its institutional website, Learning Management System platform and Scientific Journal as part of its growth process, in addition to the already established conferences and symposiums, of which the following stand out for 2024: the VI Symposium of Economics and Management of Lusophony to be held at the Iguaçu Campus of the Federal Institute of Paraná (Brazil) and its V Intercontinental Conference on Digital Transformation to be held in October/November 2024 at the Auditorium of the School of Management and Technology of the Santarém Polytechnic University.
