Culture Crossroads Conference 2024 at the Latvian Academy of Culture in Riga

We are pleased to announce the Culture Crossroads Conference, taking place on November 8, 2024, at the Latvian Academy of Culture in Riga. This international conference invites researchers to present their recent or ongoing work in the cultural and creative industries.

The conference is organized within the scope of the scientific project, “How to Make it Visible? Assessing Social and Economic Impact in Creative and Cultural Industries”, with the aim of generating new theoretical and empirical insights into how these industries contribute to the sustainable development of society. Key areas of focus include the impact of cultural and creative industries on quality of life, well-being, health, education, social inclusion, environment, climate, and innovation. The sessions will be held in English, with participation from both national and international speakers.

We invite researchers to submit 250-word abstracts for proposed presentations by September 30, 2024. Please send your abstracts in Word format to this email – ieva.zemite@lka.edu.lv

Following the conference, there will also be an open call for papers to be published in the Culture Crossroads journal, which is indexed in the Scopus database—an excellent opportunity for scholars to showcase their work in a highly regarded platform.

We also encourage participants to explore the Erasmus grant for Staff Mobility to support their participation.

We look forward to receiving your abstracts and welcoming you to Riga this November!
